Any touring lovers?
I myself will likely pick up the touring edition as I now have 2 dogs in the family and would need something with a bit more space in the rear. Anyways, I just saw this picture and thought it looked very nice and does follow the sedan version closely: http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=329014

I like the Touring - it's a shame BMW never saw fit to offer the Touring in the US with all of the engine choices (and also that they never offered the M5 Touring in the US). The Touring is an excellent family car, probably a better choice than an SUV or Crossover for many customers but for some reason US consumers don't seem to buy in to the value proposition of wagons in general. Shame, as they can't get enough of some truly awful SUVs, but overlook the benefits of the Touring...

I loved 540 wagon. It was great for the dogs, skiing gear and in a pinch to sleep in! Went like hell to boot. If they ever made a 545 with sport package I'd be on it without a doudt. M5 touring is super cool in my opinion. I often think about the S6 wagon and MB amg wagon with 500hp as my next rig. Wagons are like a vest,,,sexy if done right
It's got a lot of body overhang behind the rear wheels.
In the side shot that looks a little odd but the three-quarter shot it looks OK.
Wil obviously be much easier to tell what the proportions are really like once they remove that crazty wallpaper dissguise off the car and it get bigger wheels to fill the arches.
In the E60 and E90 I always thought hte touring / sportwagen was the better looking / styled car. But then I have E91 SE and E61 M Sport.
I go to Germany a lot on business and there are a lot of touring / sportswagens in all makes, the German's appear to like them more than the sedan / saloon.
I guess for the minimal price difference you get a lot more practicality from the touring. And the chasis are so good that there is not loss of handling or responsiveness compared to the sedan. They took a sedan and touring round the Nurbergin race circuit in Germany, times between both cars was 0.2 second.
