ActiveHybrid 5 - noise from left-rear trunk area
Hi - my apologies that it's been a while since I've been on this forum.
My ActiveHybrid 5 has start making whirring, grinding noises. They come from behind the rear panel on the drivers side near the tail lights. I've noticed it a couple of times right after I've turned off the car and gotten out. It continues even if the car is locked. It goes on for a few minutes and then stops. It doesn't happen every time. For example, when I took it to the dealer this morning, it didn't do it (dagnabbit).
Could someone with ActiveHybrid experience confirm my speculation. My speculation is that the battery cooling system is kicking in and running for a few minutes to cool the batteries. It's been bloody hot here in Toronto the past 6 weeks. So I'm thinking that might be why I've only heard it occasionally.
The fact that it's making noise is a concern.
Thanks for any help or other speculation.
Cheers
