The 550i IRS (Idaho Red Neck Special) was spotted in Boise this week for cold weather testing. BMW Engineers stressed they wanted a retro look for the 500ix IRS, and that there target audience was men who always lusted for the 1970's Z28 look. Although there has been significant efforts to dampen the NVH of this pre production model, Engineers admit that the car does have some high speed stability problems. Look for the car to be in show rooms late this summer
