I have looked everywhere and was just curious on the details of the 528 engine putting out 240hp?

I believe its the n52 but not sure what subtype it is. I know it does not have direct injection. but my question is

1. Does it use the 3 stage intake manifold--and with the tuning is basically a 530i that is mildly detuned?

2. Did they do it without the 3 stage manifold and did they tweak software

3. Or are there other mechanical changes--exhaust parts, camshafts et?

I know it is not the n53 engine which people commonly mistakenly say-which is the euro engine based on the n52 with direct injection and NO valvetronic--which the n52 does have..
