As there is so much speculation in this thread, i find that it's hard to believe the car will look anywhere as it looks in that rendering...that IF it will be produced. That rendering is just a copy paste of an X6 with some mods here and there.

BMW should really start to focus more on the RWD sports cars, and especially on ultimate driving machines, and not so much on such big cars.

The 5-series has always been a nice family car. And BMW will of cause make the new F10 based on that fact. It is not supposed to be a sportscar. Though some of you think it?s a race car. (no offence)

The new design will not be as creative and transformed as Chris Bangle?s E60. Which gave BMW lots of bad criticism at first. Now after some years we have got used to it and think it is:

And the renderings we have seen is just that - a rendering. Nothing to be alarmed about if you don?t like it.
But what you can say is that the design on premium cars are now leaning towards coupe-style. I would be surprised if the new F10 wouldn?t also be coupe-ish. Both Audi and Mercedes says they are coupe-ing their coming models.

I?ve already decided. I will order one !
And when it arrives I will love it of cause.
Regradless of the design.

it doesn't say anywhere that this is the new 5 series. it basically says that it is a new cross-over vehicle with the 5 series platform... right?!
Exactly, but it happens now and then that people don't really spend too much time reading the original post...

BMW have acknowledged that there will be a 5-series PAS, call it GT or not. What we still don't know is the final look.

Must say that - we'll see.
Yep. But when a member of the Board says
'Man muss Mut haben, in ein neues Segment einzusteigen', erkl?rt Strategievorstand Friedrich Eichinger, der in der neuen Variante einein 'modernen Gran Turismo mit ?bberraschender Variabilit?t, sieht."

... you better believe something is coming...!

Apparently the rendering is not accurate. According to an article in a Swedish Car magazine today it says
"The few people having seen the car live tells that it looks more like a higher 7 series than a lower X6."

For our Scandinavian friends, here's the link
http://www.teknikensvarld.se/bilspionen/ny...t-pas/index.xml

Edit:
I believe the original article is from Autocar;
http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/...oncepts/236712/

... and a 3-series GT is also now on it's way.
