As spied already, the Progressive Activity Sedan will be one of the new models using the new 5-, 6- and 7-series platform. In the latest issue of my house bible auto, motor und sport, it's revealed that the car will be called GT. The new series is yet another niche product that BMW thinks will give a much needed increase in revenue (they're way behind Audi and MB for the moment and the share price has plummeted lately)

It will use the same feature as the new Skoda Superb thus simulating a sedan and a hatchback at the same time. Same engines and the possibility to get xDrive as for the standard 5er.

Hey, that looks kinda cool. I've seen some other renderings that are hideous.

We won't have long to wait ... the PAS concept is slated to be shown at the Geneva show in March, and then the production version should debut in Franfurt in September 2009.

It will be interesting to get a clue as to the styling of the F10, and more importantly, all the goodies that get stuffed into it.

I know! That's the part I don't understand... if this is the final design, why on earth present a car with similar design, similar platform a year later...?

I presume everything will become obvious when it's presented.

"GT" sounds like a Pontiac. I hate the name.

It kind of looks like the illegal "Lovechild" of a 1 series and an X6!

Nice observation. That pretty much sums it up.

You could remove the roundel, call it an Opel or Alpha Romeo and I would believe you. I don't understand why they won't bring the 1 series wagon over to the states. It would eliminate the need for this....thing.
