I would highly recommend anyone with an F10 to do the DIY to drop your transmission pan (included filter) and replace oil if you have "higher mileage" on your car. It is a pretty easy DIY if you work on your own car! There are many videos, the best from FCP Euro. One tip if you are only lifting the car a foot or so off the ground to do this .. use an 'enema" concept with the filler oil high, a tube and shut off at the bottom where you fill the trasnmission. Go with like a 1/2 hose so it doesn't go too slow. The gravity feed makes this job much easier!

My car was experiencing jerking when under power and rough shifts, and the oil/filter change helped the cause, although it's not 100% corrected. While there is quite a bit of info on the 6HP (prior years) transmission, there are lack of mechatronics "bridge" and "sleeve" replacement videos/.parts/informatoin on the ZF 8HP! It seems with the 6HP changing these parts is just another fairly easy add. Does the 8HP have the same "bridge" and "sleeve" parts as the 6HP? I am also int'd in possibly changing out 8HP selonoids -- again, I am struggling to find much info. Anyone have experience here?

I know the transmission is a ZF HP, but not sure if i't's a "45 or 50 or 70" etc. Anyone know how to find this exact transmission info?

Last, the splash sheet under the car that covers the transmission is shot -- is there a place where I can find this part? Again, it seems for the 2012 535i Xdrive it is very hard to find this part or replacement available.
