Impressions of the redesigned 5 for 2009, with the M5 in 2010. Also in September Automobile magazin.

Sorry for the repost. Some may not have seen. I do like the fact that the wheelbase will be stretched a bit for a little more rear seat leg room.

I like it, and I like this part: 550i/xi, 4.4 liters V8 biturbo. I'll need to see it alive before I could make a real judgment, of course.
Repost smepost. I ask several to tell me where I could find the info about the F10 since I didn't like my search results. No one would share their tightly held info.

I don't mind it. It's not that much of a change.
I'm curious to see what it looks like without that front license plate -- the way they extended those lines on either side of the grille down through the bumper has a hint of Audi -- it might look a little funny without the plate to break up the surface area in the front.
Isn't it funny to read all the comments on that page? Many of them say they prefer the E60 better. Two or three years ago, it's likely that those same people were saying they liked the E39 better when they looked at pictures of the E60!
Then there are the few who are still clinging to the E39 -- sure, it's a timeless design but it sure looks old these days. The one guy who says he's seeing a lot more E39 M5s now wonders if it's a "sign" or something. Yeah, it's a sign -- a sign that all the E39 M5 owners are upgrading to the E60 M5...
