Can't wait for a comparison test against the new Merc E-Class and Jaguar XF etc
Agreed! This is what I'm especially keen on reading. Moreso against the E-Class then the Jag.

Best news from all these reviews... that the price will be lower than the E60!!
But didn't the E60 come standard with an automatic tranny? The new F11 is manual, so add another 1000-1500 for the 8spd auto.

Top Gear reviews/episodes are the most entertaining car reviews out there, but that's mostly what it is -- "entertainment".

Clarkson for example dogs on BMWs because it's funny and it's his thing to do.

I wouldn't rely on Top Gear to form your opinion on how good the F10 really is. Just use it for entertainment.

Today's Active Steering incorporates a rear-wheel rack that steers up to 2.5 degrees in the opposite direction at low speeds to reduce the turning radius (which nevertheless increases by 1.8 feet), or in the same direction as the front wheels at high speed to simulate a longer, more stable wheelbase.

Ouch, that sucks. Can't imagine how much bigger the turning radius will be w/o the active steering option. At least MT reports it like it is, not like the other fan boy reviews.

I'm sure this post will come up to haunt me in years to come. But, in comparison to my current ride, I don't like the F10. I don't like its looks outside which are different from the E60 and I don't like the inside which looks very similar to the E60. Its hard to tell though, as everyone is saying, need to see the Sport package and mods on one to really tell.

Oh well. I plan on keeping mine for at least 6 more years, maybe they will come out with a better one by then.

As I expected, the MT test confirms my fear that the over 200 pound weight gain from E60 to F10 has hurt the 535's performance given that power is the same for that model. The MT test indicates that the F10 535 is slower than the E60 535 in acceleration up to 70 mph -- a big step in the wrong direction. Here is the comparo of stats from the MT article: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedans...test/specs.html
