Well fellow enthusiasts, today I took delivery of my new 2012 Dinan Stage 2 550i xDrive M Sport. Color is Imperial Blue Metallic, Cinnamon Brown Leather and Light Wood Trim. Major options are M Sport package, cold weather package, sport automatic transmission, active roll stabilization, premium sound, and side and top view cameras.
The car looks and drives great. It is certainly quieter than my departed E60 550i M Sport but it dramatically faster and more comfortable.
I had a terrific experience with my dealer, Prestige BMW of Ramsey and my client advisor, Richard Marcus. Richard is the best, most straightforward and knowledgeable CA I have ever worked with. Rich and Prestige took great car of me and delivered the car WITHOUT the dreaded Goodyears but instead with Michelin Primacy RFTs. The Dinan Stage 2 was installed prior to my taking delivery. Car was flawless on delivery and Rich spent a huge amount of time with me teaching me the car.
Deal was $750 over invoice plus MACO plus training. Money factor on the lease was .00130 (due to .00060 loyalty MF reduction for returning leasees). The entire negotiation and delivery experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend Rich and Prestige (an authorized Dinan dealer).
Once it is dry, I will replace the Primacies with the conventional Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus tires. I may put the Primacies back on during the summer.
