Recently had new large turbo and manifold etc etc due to oil contamination. When I got the car back from the dealers it was very quiet and very fast. Obvioulsy turbo had been going for some time and the swirl flaps had been rattling due to the oil contamination. Over the last few weeks the car has felt a big slower and I have recently noticed oil on the drive. So off back to the dealers to be told the seal had gone on the main blaster pipe ??. Any way this and seals on other pipes have now been replaced. Picked up car today and again is V fast and V quiet.

WHY ? What makes it fast when I pick up from dealers and why is it quieter ?

Thanks

If you have a boost leak you will lose power and possibly get noise from the pressurised air escaping. You may also get a noisier engine in general because the air/fuel mixture is off as the airflow sensor is seeing more air than actually makes it into the combustion chambers. And wrong mixture and/or improperly functioning turbo = less power.
