Your wife will definitely notice the extra two inches ...

Now being serious, in terms of comfort I think the difference is more pronounced moving from RFTs to non-RFTs.
I have to agree. If you want to keep comfort, DON'T choose RFT's!
I don't think you're wife will notice the difference between 16 and 18 inch. I had a E91 (3 Touring) and wy GF didn't notice the difference between the 16 inch wintertyres and the new 19 inch summertyres (although even she noticed the different look!).

Dear Bjonne,

DUNLOP SPORT MAXX's are great but most say Michelin PILOT SPORT PS2 are the best.

Be sure they are non-RF's

My local tire-shop has these tires for 245/40/R18 and I would like to hear your opinion about them ?
Any of them thats better/worse than the rest ?

Continental SPORTCONTACT 3
DUNLOP SP3000A
DUNLOP SP9000
DUNLOP SPMAXX
DUNLOP SP01
Michelin PILOT SPORT PS2
Michelin PRIMACY HP

Thanks in advance
Bjonne

I have the same size wheels and same dilema. Thr ride on Dunlop RFT annoys me around town on broken roads although suspension articulation is decent elesewhere. My research tells me that Goodyear F1 asymetrics are the best in all conditions and relatively quiet. See tyre reviews. I will bin the runflats source a space saver and or run with my 12v compressor.

They do make the Michellin Pro Sport in an All Season tire - excellent for weather - M/S.

I would choose this over this Contis everytime.
