What performance mods are there for 2006 530xit
#1
I am wondering if there are performance modifications that make sense for a 2006 530xit? CPU, exhaust, suspension...anything else? Can you please add links and/or manufacturers and part numbers?
Thanks all!

My Ride: Alpine White 2006 530Xi (SLD)
Intake: RPI scoop, BMC or K&N air filter. (BMC is supposed to be better, IMHO)
Exhaust: RPI
ECU tune - your choice. There are a few available, but they don't exactly add a lot of power - 10-12hp.
Not sure about the suspension for the wagon, you might be limited to KW V3 coilovers.
You can also look into a bored throttle body (Dinan offers it, I believe), sprintboosters (though I'm not a fan of them and if you'll be getting ECU tune, you'll get improved throttle mapping anyway).
One of the tricks that seems to do wonders for many seasoned trackies is to lower unsprung weight - get light-weight forged wheels.
Also, you can upgrade those brakes. My stockers faded like crazy, so I bought a set of Centric Premium drilled and slotted rotors and a set of Hawk HPS pads. Installed them with the OEM sensors and they are awesome, but a little rubbery when cold/in cold weather. Upshot: no more fading!
Search is your friend for part numbers and more info
Good Luck!
