My Ride: BMW 523i M Sport Touring (Auto) - Silver Grey
VW Touareg 2.5tdi Sport (Auto) - Shadow Blue

Picked up my E61 (523i M Sport Auto) on Tuesday (see other post).
Spent some time out in it today - its my first BMW and I am very impressed. Like many, I have read magazines for many years where everyone harps on about how good the BMW driving position and steering feel is, however I have never really appreciated it - I have always thought it was a matter of opinion - until now that is.
I have never driven a car (away from the track anyway) that instills such confidence almost straight away - the steering wheel weight and feel is fantastic, driving position near perfect and the 2.5 V6 petrol engine is soooo smooth I only wish I could hear it more. Even after 2 days I am actually enjoying driving again - I mean really enjoying it - the kind when you sit smiling to yourself all the time and not just the odd blast - its actually like when I got my first car some 15 years ago.
Happy? Me? Extremely!!!!
Great forum by the way
