I'm not a fan of the red needles during the day either! I almost changed them out tonight for my original cluster needles, but they looked too good at night. I had the chance when I removed the eeprom again to read the final binary data after coding. I'm working on a direct bin write to the eeprom with vin, miles, and coding data rather than flashing first and then coding (could make things easier to create plug-n-play clusters for anyone without NCS Expert). I just need to figure out the checksum variables but I'd like a junk spare cluster to play with rather than my good ones.

Anyway, yes the variable red line is correct. It starts at about 5k when the car is cold and moves to 7k once it has run for a while. I'm not sure if I can move the redline, but I'm looking into it for fun. I've confirmed all of the address locations in the eeprom bin file and comparing pre-post coding of the M5 cluster and the original to see how any unmapped data locations change. Miles, VIN, and coding occupy only 276 bytes of the 1024 byte eeprom, so there must be some hidden gems.

I'll report back if I find anything fun.

Today my 2006 (2005 build) received full LCI headlights/taillights bonanza! Also, after everything was done with coding and testing, LUX Angel Eyes were installed.

Several photos for you my friends!

Daytime (sorry for dirty car, it is a project, will be washed when I'm done with her)

Finally had a chance to take a break from the house remodel and work on car stuff over labor day for one day. Not everyone's cup of tea but I have a bigger plan that will eventually tie into this.

Also "refurbished" my old sidemarker lights rather than buy new ones.

Not exactly a fan of dark tail lights, but the side blinkers look great!

Well after waiting two months with the parts in my trunk I got the Bilstien HD shocks with H&R sport coils installed. What a difference! While that was being done I had the bushings replaced with new coil pads.

Tomorrow if all goes well new spark plugs, coil packs and a catch can.

Both turbos were replaced at 79k under warranty last November.

Next up wheels and tires, then an LED update for winter

What got murdered on the table before you used it for painting your tail lights?

Thanks. They're really not that dark in reality.

LOL, I used that table to stain wood on and for just general painting where I don't have to worry about masking the table off.

so now that I have the Bilstiens and H&R springs.. my rear is about 3/4" higher.... I will try and get actual measurements.... what is the best way to level the car? Computer or a link in the rear? can anyone shed some light on this for me? I hope I do not regret doing the lowering springs... not sure if I can get the old springs back...
