Finally got the valves cleaned up, last of the maintenance items done since buying the car a year ago.

Before and after at 62k.. For some reason I only got pictures for 2 of the 6

Just did some valves myself, I hate doing it, every time...

This was one the replacement engine I sourced from a 2011 335is w/ 35k.

well my pics suck..

Such a difference in driving the car, glad it's done along with new plugs, mine had the originals in it still.

goodness gracious usc, that is a TON of carbon buildup for 35K miles. ive taken apart older BMW engines with 200K+ that dont have carbon buildup like that. i guess thats just the nature of modern FI BMW engines? what method/products did you use to clean them up so well?

Honestly, pretty average for the mileage from what I have seen on the N54 platform. From what I gather it is a direct injection issue rather than forced induction. Any way you slice it, it's pretty annoying.

Default OEM M5 front bumper, Fenders, Side skirt, Mirrors, Rear Bumper, Front brake, exhaust.

Hi This is what I have done so far. OEM M5 front to the back.
Next mods on the list will be intercooler, downpipe.
