Not the best pics but just got it back from body shop and factory M tech kit install.
Picked up C237295 in April 2016 on long island. Drove home and picked up 5erTouring's Style 128s, KW V3, RD Sways, COBB tune, and black kidney grills along the way. Purchased M tech aero kit from local dealer for a good price....there were 21 left in Germany at the time. Just got it back from the body shop.

That is a fantastic looking OEM+ build, nice work.

Last weekend.....

This week.......

Last night I finished making the intercooler pipes and rolled the beads on them. This morning I picked up the nose and M5 side skirts from the body shop. I should have it all back together this weekend.

The performance gains of an IC will depend on mainly on your other supporting mods and the level of performance you are extracting from the engine. Installing a 7" VRSF IC on a stock car with stock tune will likely have negligible gains in normal driving conditions. That same IC on a Full Bolt-On (FBO) stock turbo car will have a much more dramatic impact on performance both HP and IAT recovery.
Even if the gains are negligible, an intercooler is always a good idea.

), but going up from stock, if choosing between an intercooler or catless downpipes, you will actually gain a lot more with this engine with the intercooler, than with DP's.Cobb's tunes call that a stage 1+ tune, (vs stage 2 for DP's, and 2+ for DP's & intercooler) and you'd see you gain a lot more going 1 to 1+ vs 1 to 2, believe it or not.
Look up on E90post for the threads started by Cobb Tuning that have dynos
.
