In Europe max hitch weight on trailers and caravans are 75-100kg (~150-200lbs), no matter how big or small they are. If you compare a european caravan to an american, you'll se that the wheels are more in the middle on the european, while the american have the wheels further back, so they're kinda self balancing.

I know, they like to have the hitch weight here around 10-15% of total weight, so you can still drive the speed limit with a trailer, which is 80 mph in places. Hence why you need a big pick up with a 7 liter Diesel engine, lol.

Have you painted the trim the gloss black? M sport trim is more of a flat/satin black. In any event, my compliments.

Yeah, that's a valid point. The limit is 80km/h (50mph) in most of europe with a trailer. The only exception is Germany which allows 100km/h (~60mph), but you need an extra permit for that.

If you mean the surroundings around the mirror, it's factory gloss blank. I think this was changed with the facelift?

Thanks for the reply--I'm pointing to the B & C pillars, as well as the trim around the window frames, that all appears to be the gloss black variant of the M5, did you install that? Great looking!

Not the best pics but just got it back from body shop and factory M tech kit install.

Picked up C237295 in April 2016 on long island. Drove home and picked up 5erTouring's Style 128s, KW V3, RD Sways, COBB tune, and black kidney grills along the way. Purchased M tech aero kit from local dealer for a good price....there were 21 left in Germany at the time. Just got it back from the body shop.
