USB stops playing after new software

Guys,
have any of you experienced this strange fault:
While using the USB stick to play music, it sometimes just stops in the middle of a song/podcast... contemplates for around 5 seconds... and then starts playing again? It happens randomly (never the same track or at the same place in the track). Never had this problem before until the car was upgraded with the latest software. Apparently BMW do bugs just as well as Microsoft. :thumbsdown:
