I've taken the plunge and bought a set of staggered 19" M6 Alloys with 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear tyres.

I cannot locate any information on tyre pressures though. I was previously on the 18" RFT, and the sticker inside the door refers to 17" or 18" wheels only. I can't find any info in the hand book either.

Can anyone advise what the recommended pressure settings should be please?

I am not 100% sure what I was running on my E61 with OEM 19s, however I believe they were the same as the E60 tyre pressures. You could therefore check on the E60 Forum too or maybe there is some info in the "Information" section of 5series.net?

The car looks fantastic with those rims!

You can find the US spec tire pressure in the owner manual around pg #203 from the Info section for reference ... no specific 19" on the touring but you can x-ref it ... I personally use 40 psi all around.

Thanks for your comments on the wheels. I will try the E60 forum as you suggest.

Hi thanks for the pointer. You are correct the US version gives recommeded pressure whereas the UK version doesn't. The tyre fitters put 32PSI in front and rear, but the rears look too soft. I will go with the saloon 33PSI front 39PSI rear for now.

I checked a bunch of threads as well as the US manual and I'm more confused than ever. I also run 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear; on my rwd touring. I intend to run at speeds above 160 km/h occasionally and I also regularly tow a caravan and have a family of 5 - so I'll be leaning towards the fully loaded tyre pressure recommendations. However I've seen the following recommendations several places:

32psi front and 36psi rear (e60)
35psi front and 39psi rear (e60)
33psi front and 39psi rear (e61)
35psi front and 42psi rear (e60) US - owners manual 535i with full load and speeds exceeding 160 km/h
41psi front and 48psi rear (e61x) US - owners manual 535ix with full load and speeds exceeding 160 km/h

I'm going to compromise and do 41psi front and 44psi rear (2.8 bar front and 3.0 rear).

It would be great to hear from someone running an Alpina B5 touring with 19" rims; as to what tyre pressure is recommended from Alpina as the touring comes with this size OEM.

Alpina B5 uses different tire size, and they list the tire pressure specs on their web site, as I recall. The tires are 245/40/19 (not too certain for the exact size of the rears is), hence it is not really that useful. I have been told many different things - go by the tire, go by the car's door sticker... the best way is to just play with different pressures and find what suits your driving style best. Obviously, underinflate for softer ride and less precise handling. Overinflate for tighter handling and bumpier ride. Don't go lower than 34psi, or higher than the highest your tire manufacturer recommends for your tires. GL

The figures for the 530d saloon with those wheels and tyres are 34psi front and 38psi rear (normal load).

hello
i dont want to make new thread. so problem is with uneven rear tyre inner side wear quite in short time, aprox in one month tyre worn to stainless tubeless. my wheel selection is front-8J-235/35/R19 ET20 : rear 9,5J-275/30/R19 ET25
if its possible could You share with Your rear wheel alligments. i was at workshop and they said that maybe one side is more negative , but right side is good. he said that maybe can adjust closer to zero, but i read that this is not very good (no stability while driving)
one that i remember that wheel aligment must be done with loaded car, but he done with empty. i dont know is that help, but.....
aprreciate for any help.
