I bought this vehicle a 2006 530xi wagon year ago never been able to drive it for it had been in a slight minor accident I bought cheap with hopes to put it back in the road after fixing all the sheet metal and cosmetics which went very well I discovered a underlying set of problems because the driver bag went off that triggers a few other sensors and on down The line. So after tackling the battery cable issue I was driving home and it went into limp mode got it home did some research along with trans fluid and filter change I was told the actuator motor was done on the torque converter a local shop friend had one laying around that was compatible now I have a interlock code and can’t operate the shifter please help with advice or comments thank u

Sounds like gearbox was changed to the one without SAT option in it. They might look the same, Difference is in 50 extra Nm from Pre-lci 6hp26 gearbox to a LCI 6hp26 TU gearbox. Solenoid 3 is different.
Try to code it with #0606 date and do the SG_reset and SG_codieren functions in NCS. if it doesn't work try either #0905 or #0307. I hope it helps.

 

here is an update i recently took it into my local shop love the guys over at OCmotor works Freddy has been outstanding he made some adjustments and check the transmission fluid it was low a court he test drove it and still having fault codes and goes to limp mode he needs to still if he hasn't done so the codes need to match actuator motor on the torque Conv, this i changed out with a used he gave me. the other faults of concern are the trans light coming again and one about gear ratio monitoring with that be 4k to rebuild. any advice thanks
