My Ride: 2010 535 xi - M Sport Pkg & other goodies
Interesting choice you made... What was your thought process?
After I laid our wagon to rest (very similar to yours interestingly!), I would have jumped on another one, had I found one quickly, but as rare as they are (especially up here), that wasn't going to happen, so I decided to move to an SUV, as the MB wagon I didn't think was going to do it for me in terms of sportiness and handling.
The X5 was way too big and fat at over 5000 pounds, so I narrowed it down to the X3 35 and the Q5. I was briefly tempted by the SQ5, but couldn't justify the huge premium for it, which was something I could almost match performance wise by buying a Q5, adding a tune and some springs. Especially, since as you know, the NA SQ5's don't have the lowered suspension like they do in Europe, which I found retarded. So I'm wondering why, being a big modder as you are, you didn't do that?
In the end, I really liked the X3's more aggressive looks (M Sport Package), and being easy to tune and add some springs, that's the route I went. It was a bonus that so much stuff is similar between the two cars and it felt easy to pick up where I left off. For example, my M wheels I took off the wagon before she went, I'm now using on the X3.
Been really happy with my choice for the past year.

As the title said, I'm swapping the wagon for an Audi SQ5 this weekend. Tough decision for me as the wagon provided much fun for me the past 4+ years and countless looks
when someone realized they just got smoked by a wagon. I have nothing but positive things to say about the E61 platform but I felt is time to move on to mod something else. Why not a SUV?
The SQ5 share the same motor with the S4/S5 paired with ZF 8 speed transmission. Pretty fun to drive. I already found more lowering options for the SQ5 than the E61. Let the modding begin.
I will be posting in the FS section later this week with parts taken off from my E61.
KW v3, RD f/r sway bars, COBB, Style 128 19" wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, Rogue Engineering spacers 12mm/15mm, ECS tuning stud kit conversion with black aluminum lug nuts, BMW M Performance Gloss Black kidney grills, BMW cross bars, 2x BMW bike racks, BMW all season mats f/r and trunk.

However, I'd be interested in the RD sways, wheels, spacers, studs, and mats. PM me your thoughts on pricing and shipping.

I have been toying with the idea of replacing the wagon for the past few months. Agreed, e61s are rare and is impossible to source another one like the one I have. This new vehicle will also be something my wife will be using with the kids and I will eventually get something for myself...997 CS

Once I get the remaining parts off the car (suspension and sway bar), I will take pics and post'em up on the FS section. I'll update everyone tomorrow.
