Default looking for a fresh perspective

I have an 08 that is giving me some rear air suspension trouble. The whole system was replaced about 3 years ago and all looks pretty good. One day I noticed the compressor continuing to run when I got out of the car, I pulled the fuse so it would not kill itself. I parked the car after getting it home so I could figure out and repair the issue. The rear is now bottomed out. The lines look good, the intake line and filter are new looking and I can blow air through the line. The bags seem okay. The compressor runs when it suppose to, the solenoid valves seem to work. The bags inflate when the compressor runs and get pretty stiff, but they do not seem to be able to hold the car up. I am not sure if the compressor is just not able to provide enough pressure, or the bags/lines/valves leak at a high enough pressure. I disassembled the air compressor unit and everything looks pretty good. I could not check the seals on the piston as I don't have a good way to push the electric motor shaft out of piston so it can be removed from the housing. I did check the level sensors and they seem to be reading correctly (using Protool). I also tried using soapy water to look for leaks on the fittings and lines.

I am hoping someone can provide some fresh perspective to get me back on track. At this point I can think to pressure check the compressor and I am starting to look for the right combination of fittings (anyone know the correct type and size for the fittings on this unit?) to be able to hook up the compressor to a pressure gauge to see if it is providing enough pressure. I don't want to throw new parts at this without having a better idea because the whole system still looks pretty new, but I am also getting to a point of running out of ideas.

BTW, the fittings are M8 x 1mm straight thread with a gasket. The lines are 4mm diameter.

So, I got the fitting I needed to pressure test the unit. It only goes to about 60 PSI and holds there. The pressure release solenoid seems to work fine and release that pressure. I am not sure what failed for the unit to run but only build up 60 PSI. I am going to try to replace the motor and housing unit.

This was the problem. The new motor and housing unit fixed the problem.

Glad you got it worked out. That issue is always hard to figure out without spending money you don't need to.
