I also agree that the sound of studded tyres is terrible. Last winter I tested both types studded and friction tyres, but now I have only
one set available. Maybe I should change into those 19" without studs...
I am using 18" 135M wheels with Continental winter tires, and had zero problems last winter.

Well, as you know, we really didn't have a bad winter down here.

VERY NICE mod!!

Where did you find those?!

And yes, you will need some larger winter wheels!!
LOL yeah but the thing is those tires were bought spankin new last season so I'll probably wait until spring to change brakes, if I can't trade my 2 sets of 16" wheels for one set of 18" winter setup that clear these bad boys.

Anyway I got them from a salvage yard. Excellent condition and awesome price. They have another set or two in their database so hurry up and get them

Haha well in worst case I can help out with the transaction but take a peek at
http://www.bildelsbasen.se/?index=default&...;pc1=105&vc[0]=111106100&vcx1=1539&vcx2=1177&pc[0]=105102100

for calipers and for rotors

http://www.bildelsbasen.se/?index=default&...;pc1=105&vc[0]=111106100&vcx1=1539&vcx2=1177&pc[0]=105102102

Note that front and rears are mixed. You should be able to order online, if not I could help out if you paypal or just transfer the money. The remaining M5 ones are a little expensive but with some of these vendors there is potential for price reduction so call or email and ask them if possible to do anything on the price "if fast/smooth transaction". I got my calipers for just over 100 EUR/pce + shipping but they were listed for that so I was really lucky

Quality of the rotors is of course a little difficult to determine but if you don't like used ones and lack a good local contact, I have my local spare parts guy working on a deal on new rotors so we'll see what he can come up with.

It looks like 6000 SEK (about 600 EUR) for the pair of calipers from a 2006 M5.

And I have to go to Malm? next month...

We shall see!

I went with another mod. I found a second hand 530xd by my dealer with dark brown poplar interior profiles. Thus I convinced him to switch them with my aluminum profiles. I am really happy about the change the car looks really classy plus a touch of wood is not bad as I am leaving on its trade.
I will post some pictures soon.

PS: I still have the M5 cluster if anybody leaving in Finland needs it just tell me I know already all the freight rates.

Without a doubt, if I had not already been inspired by you to go with the M5 gauge cluster, I would buy yours!

Now about your wood interior trim: the obvious question is WHERE ARE THE PICS?!

License-, underdoor- & trunk LEDs and 6000K HID fogs. Those fogs should be good for the autums darkest times while driving long distance at night time in heavy rain
No leds for the interior, because I really like the OEM warm lighting inside the car.
