That's what I thought. That's why I was wondering how you can retrofit comfort seats with ventilation, as you'd need a new center console too I'd have figured. I would have thought the coding would be a pita too, but that part they seem to have figured out.

OP--I was in your shoes a few months ago, and like everyone suggested-Take your time and don't be afraid to buy a car located far away. My wife and I both have wagons. My wife previous car was Merc E500 wagon fully load with every option--We trade her car for 2006 530xi wagon. We search for about 2 months to get the color and options that was most important to her. As for myself, I wanted 2010 535 with m sport package, but after searching for 3 months, and becoming frustated with not finding one with all the options I wanted-I gave up. Plus, I simply didn't want to pay the inflated price I seen for alot of the ones equiped with the m-package. I was able to find one in Hilton Head, South Carolina. It was fully loaded with navi, comfort seats in auburn, comfort acces, cold weathher package-shades, sirus and hd radio, logic7, active cruise control, only option I don't have is heads-up display. I am content with my findings, but please try to find one with a warranty as these cars are not cheap to repair. I brought mind without a warranty because I am handy with the tools, but I wouldn't suggest you do that unless you are good at repairing cars. Classic exmaple, last month me and the family drove to Cape Cod and on the way back the electric waterpump failed--Decided to have it towed to the dealer since we were far from home...Dealer milked me for 1600.00 bucks..Waterpump was 700.00 and thermostat was 200.00. I could of done the job myself, but we were on vacation and our main focus was to get home. Remember, look for car with the options that are important to you, and don't limited your search. Here in the Northeast, wagons are top choice, so any wagon will fetch hi dollars, but in the south and the west coast they are cheaper. Good luck and post your pic of new ride when you get it.

No new centre console!
He just bought the black plastic part with all needed buttons. It is separate from the centre console.
Yes, a few cables will have to be run here and there, that's inevitable
