I looked at that option, but I am told by both the BMW techs and the alpine techs that it cannot be done because the car came optioned with the business nav and not the professional nav... and the alpine tech told me that an aftermarket adaptor will only be available for retrofitting in about 12 months... and that is only a maybe.

Could you tell me more about your system. It sounds interesting.
Hi,

so the BMW techs and the alpine techs have absolutely no idea what they're talking about... sorry.

Meanwhile there are several interfaces out in the Non-BMW aftermarket to input external video into and iDrive Screen. The AuxIn is also no issue. So it's not deal to integrate TV, DVD, Videoconsoles or whatever into an iDrive BMW.... but ok... BMW won't do so as their idea of a price for that is simply

latest development... i have rescinded the contract as per the offer by their previous new car sales manager who has now disappeared under suspicious circumstances... and their new sales manager is trying to bully me in to purchasing the vehicle, threatening legal action... in his letter to me demanding that I buy the vehicle, he does admit that they did misrepresent the vehicle as having a TV when it did not... and they call this an oversight... what a joke... If they bring this to court, they are in for a hard time. Especially with their admission in writing. Grrrrrrr...

[snip] threatening legal action[snip]
(bitterly)

On what grounds? They offered to rescind the contract - which they had breached anyway by supplying goods that did not conform to description. You generously accepted their offer. End of story.

If anybody should be sued, it's them. I suggest you pass the correspondence on to the Consumer Affairs bureau, and see if they can be persuaded to write a short and sharp letter to the dealer. Also copy BMW Australia in. Just keep lawyers out of it as long as you can.

no 1 can push you to buy anything, if you dont like it, you don`t have to buy it.
threatening legal action ha ya right, I don`t think so.
They F**ked up in the 1st place, its them that should be sued, not you.

Good luck

now that I have proof in black and white that they admit to misrepresenting the vehicle, consumer affairs will take up the case and so will BMW australia who have asked me to forward on the information. Lets see what ridiculous thing they do next... LOL!
