Hello,

Today I discovered that the shifter on our '07 E61 LCI doesn't want to stay in M/S anymore.

I can move it enough to the left to engage DS, and it does stay there for a while. But when there is a bump, or i give it a small tap, it jumps back to D.
Also, if I want to change gears manually, you can feel the shifter isn't positioned far enough to the left. Instead of going straight to the front or back, it goes a little bit sideways.

So for some reason the shifter can't move enough to the left to click solid in the M/S position.

Does anybody have an idea what the reason for this can be? Can it be some dirt in the module? I thought that was completely sealed.

Thanks!
Tom
