Default Selling 2008 E61 in Octoner

Hey all - now having turbos replaced (under warranty) and decided to order Audi A7 for delivery late October. Hate to part with my baby, but it's time.

Monaco Blue, Natural interior, All major components replaced under warranty - car looks like new and drives WAY better than new. Lots of extras - Dinan S2, Escort 9500, Extended Warranty through 100K miles or through 2016, Michelin Xi3 snows

Looking for $26K. Serious inquiries dkmisiak@aol.com

Dave, what led to turbos replacement and how did your ext warranty (route 66?) do overall?
Did they give you any problem about Dinan S2 upgrade?

There's a service bulletin on the turbos (for the 335, though it's the same engine in the 535) and they've got extended warr. on them. Maybe he got them done under that.

Though I'm quite surprised they were covered with a Dinan ECU upgrade, since those are definitely entered into the BMW's system and your car's flagged for warranty denial on anything related to the engine, and Dinan's warranty will only cover up to the end of the original 4 years.

BMW 335i (N54) turbo warranty extended for wastegate issues to 8yrs/82k miles

Yes, thanks, I saw this SIB, but was not sure of wording: "any failure of a turbocharger caused by a defect in a turbocharger wastegate"
Is it easy enough to determine that the turbo failed "due to a wastegate defect"?
I'd understand if wastegate fails completely, but there are other things that can go wrong with turbo internally and how do we prove that was or was not caused by wastegate defect?
Any one care to explain please?

I don't know much about technical workings of turbos, but I know lots of people as symptoms got a loud chattering, which is from the wastegates I believe, and got them replaced as a result.
