Default Restraint system failure

I have had the above fault come up on the I Drive on my 2005 545i E61. My local BMW specialist cleared it for me when it came on before when it went in for a service, but now I want to clear it myself, so bought a C110 code reader/clearer that does airbag problems as well as engine codes. Fault came about as my son was getting out of the passengers seat, so I suspect the seat mat?
I have plugged C110 into the car, but cant see what option under the "Body" section, the fault would be read and cleared. There is no airbag, or restraint option to check. Has anyone carried out this task, so can provide some info? There are 13 pages of separate systems it can check on the "Body" section so would take some time to run through them all, but that may be the only way, if no one can help?
Thanks
Jeff

I have a 2006, 530xi Touring (built in October, 2005). The Restraint System Failure alarms and bells had been going off. On a hunch I called BMW of North America to see if my car was covered under a recall or extended warranty on the restraint system. After a couple of calls and pressing questions it was revealed that my car was covered by an extended warranty. The only problem was the dealership did not know this and furthermore did not believe me. I had to have the BMW of NA representative call the dealership and tell them what they needed to do. I got mine replaced under warranty and they gave me a loaner car for the day as well.

There should be an extended warranty for the passenger seat SRS mat/sensor on your car. Good Luck
