I need to replace front wishbones on my E61, any with a DIY on this topic?
Any with knowledge how difficult is it to do this, and what kind of tools that are required?

Well I assume that you don't have X-Drive which would make the following DIY also applicable for your E61:

DIY Control arms front

BTW: if you place type and details on your vehicle in either your sig or your profile everyone will be able to help you much better.

Good luck with the replacement.

Thanks Theo , as I expected from examining the wishbone the only big challenge is having enough force and the right tools.
I guess it doesn't matter if it's the 535d or the 520i as the wishbone is the same on all E61 and e60.
I'll go for this repair and save me some money.
