Can anyone provide instruction about how to remove the rear light cluster on an E61 ? (2008 LCI M Sport).

This is not the light on the tailgate, but the main light, in the rear wing, with the indictor, main rear ligts, stop lamps in it.

I need to remove the whole light not bulbs. My neigbour reversed into my rear bumper leaving 3-4 deep scratches, chipped paint etc. One of the scratches just sits on the lip, where the light fits and I need to remove light to get to it. Hopefully, my local paint specialist can fill and repaint / lacquer.

open up left or right trunk storage compartment, and you will see the light cluster with bulbs, cables etc.

you will also see 3 bolts with nuts - unscrew the nuts and take out the light. as simple as that
