My Ride: 535dA touring 2005
Sapphire Black, Leather Dakota LCTE 04( name?)
217, 235, 248, 524, 589.2, 609, 610, 672, 677.
Hi there
My new 535dAt with 3000km have just gotten new wheels and tires after reclaim of loud road noice and insufficient driving comfort. Thge Contis 245 45 17 on Style 122 was replaced by Style 124 i think theyre called. 225 50 17 GY RFT. The driving comfort is a little better but the noice is about the same.
Have anyone reclaimed RFTs and gotten no RFT instead? I have driven 530dA with non RFT winter tires and they were really good.

My Ride: 525d Sport Touring, Carbon Black, Dakota Black Leather, Maple Wood interior trim
"How much more black could this be? And the answer is ‘None. None...more black’ " - David St Hubbins, Spinal Tap
RFT = decreased ride comfort + increased noise. Moving to non-RFT will cut noise and significantly improve ride quality - and handling, those factory-standard RFT Goodyear Eagle NCT 05s are very poor, especially in the wet. I had them on my 525d Sport (18" version), now have non-RFT ContiSportContact2s.
