Hi
One of my steering wheel buttons starts to rattle from time to time. Does anyone know how to fix them?

I had the same problem. You could either take apart your steering wheel and adjust them yourself, or have the dealer replace them for you. I went with the second option, partially cause it was easier for me, and partially because it was free.

I had just the same problem on my E60.
I got into the habit of driving with my thumb on the button.
The Dealer replaced the complete wheel centre and all the buttons under warranty and it's been quiet ever since.

I've now also got two check control warnings telling me I have reduced stability control whilst cornering and that [hill] start assist is inactive...

For those with more of a Heath Robinson or MacGyver calling:
Little bobs of blutack applied behind the buttons (the stalk ones are hollow, so it's easy), or black rubber wedged between the button and the surround seem to work just fine. They don't need to fill up the space, just provide some means to dampen the vibration.
