Question Powerflex Subframe Insert Issue

Has anyone added the powerflex rear subframe bushing inserts into their E61? I cannot seem to free the rear bushings up from the car enough to get the insert in. The front bushings separate easily with a lot of space. It seems as if something is hanging up the rear of the subframe. I'm curious if the air suspension may be a part of this, does it need to be discharged first?

Any chance you can share some photos? I have replaced all my shocks/struts on my E61 but haven't had to touch any rear bushings yet as I did on my E46.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics. I was pretty frustrated. But here is what I mean, the rear of the subframe would not lower from the chassis, only the front. All bolts were removed.

SOLVED. I had to remove the lower shock bolt from the wheel carrier. Simple fix, but I hadn't heard or seen anyone else having to do this to lower the subframe enough to get the bushing inserts in. The shock was at its full downward travel before the subframe could be lowered enough to get the top inserts into the rear bushings. I think it may be due to the air suspension, as with a coil spring there would have been a spring force helping to push the subframe down, not so much with the airbags.
