So glad you’re liking it! Care to list what models you’ve owned?

Don't mind all the dirt. I just don't care to wash it and it's been raining. Idk why I like those Style 94s, but damn I do. I need to get them changed to an anthracite or bronze color at some point.

Also was lucky enough to score a full set of LCI tails from a lovely seller in Lithuania (like all great eBay sellers) for $243 w/ free shipping this morning thanks to eBay's 10% back going on. Now I just need to shell out $65ish for a LM II module and another $70 for the retrofit kit from Pelican and that'll put me under $380 for a full rear retrofit. The LM II will also help when/if I ever do the headlights.

I probably wouldn't be doing any of this if BMW continued to bring over 5 series wagons, but here we are.

Sure Did! I couldn't believe it. Initially the ad I found had only the liner listed, but for a stupid cheap price+shipping...but even that seemed reasonable, so I messaged the seller asking if he had anything else from that parts car available. He had literally everything except for the 2nd of the 2 piece C pillar covers. So I got the pillars, liner, visors, black vanity lights, screws, everything for less than $600 shipped. Less expensive & time consuming than recovering everything. My hunt started because of the floating pano liners peeling off. I reused my original ones but had a family friend recover them in black material.

Showed up in a box the size of a refrigerator.

This is my new baby; 2010 535i 6MT. I have two others in automatic. One from new in 2007. One with about 40k in 2015 now has 115k.

The 6MT makes all the difference. Ordered Injen intake, AR downpipes, Evolution Racewerks intercooler and JB4. Can’t wait until I get garage time on January 14th. Ill upgrade turbos eventually.

This is my midlife crisis car after deciding the AMG 63 wagon just wasn’t for me. All in will be about $27,000 excluding some labor that I can’t do myself. That’s a bargain for a 550hp family hauler that’ll look stock.

This was a BaT auction that didn’t meet reserve but I tracked down the seller and money/fate did the rest. The detailing on the car was so good it inspired me to start doing all the engine bay cleaning on my other two neglected wagons. Amazing what a little degreaser and hard work can do. I wish I had taken the before pictures.

wow, that looks great! We have one just like it with that color that we got a year ago. Yours has a different steering wheel than ours, it’s more angular than curvy and I thought that was from the older models, not the later ones like my 2009 or your 2010. Any idea what that’s from? Ours does not have the M package. Ours is like this one:

I’ve seen that steering wheel on other wagons. Maybe it’s an option or part of a different package. All three of my wagons have the same steering wheel.

I believe the difference in Steering wheels may lie in model year options.

I am only familiar with the '08 model year and in that year the standard leather wheel is the one like Benn has and my car has the one like yours KD, which was a part of the "Sport Package" in '08. My car also has the "Cold Weather Package" that heated the steering wheel as well. :-)

Please note that I have a Canadian vehicle and the options / option packages may have been different than what was offered in the US.

I have found that the best online source to learn about the various stand alone options and option packages from year to year is to to track down the original sales brochure for the model(s) you are interested in. They are out there and easily downloaded.

Default A lucky break

Was planning on modding my new 2010 6MT 535 e61. I ordered all the parts (intercooler, downpipes, intake, jb4) new plugs and coils. The guy who sold me the car (very good BaT seller 1600veloce) agreed to pick up my car 50 miles away to address some minor suspension issues. While he had the car he must have taken in a 535 with performance parts that he wanted to return to stock. That’s his thing, I guess. So they offered me the performance parts for labor only. If I hadn’t ordered all the parts and booked the install in CT I would have done it. Then, in a moment of clarity, I realized I had my other 6AT wagon. That could be the parts donor/recipient. So today I delivered one car locally for performance upgrades and the AT wagon was picked up for performance parts swap.

by next week I’ll have two high performance sleeper beasts. Stage 2 turbos and fuel pump are next on the MT. The performance value is just unreal with these.

Anyone have a 6MT for sale? I’ll take another.
