Cool Wheel/Tire size

I like both sets of wheels on Speedvagon and XM23 cars. Both cars look to be ET20 offsets, diameter doesn't matter. Here is what I put on the grey wagon this week-
18x8" ET20 with 245/40/18 tires. Here is how they fit. XM- let me correct previous recommendation to 245/40/19.
Waiting on my BMW center caps!M skirts installed.
Perfect fit imo!
Painted rotor hubs and calipers black with caliper paint.
Windows tinted.

not as far as offset. Wheel width will make a difference. Think about it, the wheel diameter has nothing to do with spacing.

I get what you are saying but with fitment, for proper fitment that is, it all matters. Wheel size, width, offset, tire width, rolling diameter, etc. Especially on these AWD BMW to keep the DSC from freaking out and prematurely wearing out your TC actuator. Correct

Exactly! While the basic fitment math doesn’t account for wheel diameter, the diameter and associated tire profile will combined to affect the offset you can run when pushing the limits of perfect flush fitment.

By the way, if those are the OEM 220M wheels and not replicas on XM23’s wagon, they’re likely the 8.5/9.5 staggered set. Rears are 23 offset, so I run 10-12mm spacers with M5 brakes/hubs. I have a square setup of 4 rears on mine at 19x9.5 with 265 tires all around (M5 fenders up front). Front end sticks like it’s on rails.

I'm stickin' to my story although you are all very correct. I didn't imply to ignore other parameters for proper fender fit and correct overall diameter. What I'm saying is an 8" wheel ET20 17",18",19" all stick out the same distance! If you change the width of the wheel, you NEED to change the offset accordingly. Then tire profile and size come into effect. Eh?!

Well, I wasn't really shopping for one of these but this popped up locally. I've been driving a really nice E91 for the past year and a half, but wanted something bigger. 67k, m-sport bumpers/side skirts, m5 rear sway bar, H&R front springs, not sure of the drop. Could use new shocks to match. Extremely clean inside and out. Looks like Invisihitch doesn't make a kit for these, any tips on a hidden hitch w/out going with that Kurt model? Want to carry some bicycles or tow my M Coupe.

Default Photos from this summer's road trio

Just got back from a 5300km road trip with the kids - towing a 2000lb tent trailer. Trip went fine - except the appearance of the dreaded wastegate rattle - so I've ordered new turbos and will be replacing them myself as soon as all the parts arrive.
