No need to cover the diffuse, unfortunately you can not take it away without having demounted the bumper first. I tried to still one but no luck so on the and I decided to buy it. 
I just placed an order for the cf diffuser, and it should be here next week. Perhaps at the same time as the ACS rear roof spoiler coming from Germany, but I have no clue when I will be able to get either of them installed.

PS - after looking at your gallery, my wife says your E61 is the best looking BMW that she has ever seen, so I think that it is now a unanimous decision!

The part number of the cf diffuser is 51 12 0 404 935.
I just got off the phone with the manager of the BMW parts department that I always deal with and... The CF Diffuser is no longer available! That was the message that he received from Germany when he tried to place the order this morning.

Marco, I see you have 166 M rims (rear 9,5x19 ET28?) but do you have any spacers rear?
