Hah, you are going to get your wish....apparently it is easier and takes less time to launch the space shuttle than to get the dealer to put the rails on - cheaper too

Ah, yes, they need to do something that isn't every day work - then it gets tricky...

I've been quoted 2 hrs work for the removal (my car will come with the rails on from Dingolfing) of the rails and I said OK. According to other posts here that seems a reasonable price.
