Hi there.
How do i set off the alarm?
I want to hear how it sounds, and i have heard that there is some kind of "panic button" on the FOB...? Two buttons at the same time or something...?
I imported my car from Germany and the manual is hence in german
I cannot read german very well.
Anyone knows how to set it off via the key/FOB?

Keep the boot release button held down to activate the panic alarm.
I have tried that, but nothing happened except that the boot opeded - closed - opened - closed.... as long as i held down the button!

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV

How about just locking the car then trying to open a door or the boot - worked for me. When I first got my car the key was low in charge so when I tried to open the trunk (Boot) remotely it didn't work - which resulted in me (and my neighbors) hearing the alarm - it's pretty loud.

Pull the motorcompartiment handle, close all doors and switch alarm on.
Now open the motor compartiment and the alarm should sound, that's how I test mine.
You can find manuals right on this site by clicking here: https://5series.net/information/
Good luck!

It did like this yesterday: opened one window. Locked the car. Waited about 1 minute, then i put my hand in and waved like hell in there!
That set it off!!! hehe.
It was not so loud, but very high pitch! It almost hurt a little listening to it

poor dog indeed!
funny story is I didn't know there was a motion detector in the alarm. the car was new and I had locked the dog in a couple of times to run quick errands and when I came back, the blinker lights were flashing. I couldn't figure it out. then on the 3rd time, when a guard told me my alarm was sounding was when it finally registered - DOH!
anyway, here's a couple of pictures of the poor dog
