I was in the same position witht he Beige leather. I went with the Orient becsue the Mystic was way too light, especially in sunny conditions.

Honestly,
You should consider Alpine White. Many people do not even fathom purchasing a white car, but it really is the easiest color to keep. It always looks great. And you will never get board. If you have no choice, you can even take it to an automated car wash. I have had 3, 3 series and all in Alpine. Yes, I bought the same car 3 times in a row.

Trying to pick the brains of the E60 fans out there
I am in the final stages of configuring a 535d Sport touring. I currently have a silver gray saloon and would like to change to a blue color. Orient blue is my favorite so far, dark and probably a pain to keep clean though. I have seen pictures and looks great in daylight but clearly trickier when overcast/rainy ie 90% of the time in London
I have also looked at Mystic Blue I really like that colour but it is probably too light. I am going for a beige interior so contrast with Orient blue could be very nice.
Finally Carbon black is nice but way too high maintenance plus a Touring in black can be difficult...
Any views appreciated

tr?s chique !!
Orient blue is stil one of my favourites; I only went for Oxford green because here in the Netherlands you saw too much E39's Tourings in Orient Blue.

Orient Blue with beige interior gives a classy look IMHO
Not too difficult to maintain.

I ran across this thread and saw you had "Hobi" do an SMG paddle shift steering wheel swap. Can you forward me the details as I'd like to see about doing this on my vehicle-assuming it doesn't cost thousands when all is said and done-only to throw codes....
