Hello. I have a problem with my E61 facelift. The right reverse light is not on. I changed the bulb, but it still doesn't work. I found that I don't have 12v there, but I do on the left. I tried restarting the module but it doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea where to look for the problem?

 

How do you restart a module. It's already restarted when you first start the car in the morning. I would think if you don't have 12v at the connector to check down the line like fuse or wiring wise. Anything else would need ISTA or INPA to look at codes to see what's going on and run more tests

And that's the only code there is in the car?

 

It could be the dreaded wiring loom issue.

 

Yea I gave him how to troubleshoot it. I can't do it for him.

 

If the problem is in the wiring harness, I don't think I'll disassemble it just for that. Maybe I could run a wire from one bulb to the other and just turn off the burnt-out bulb indicators.
