Default Oil sensor level malfunction

Hello, anyone on the E61 ever have this warning "oil sensor level malfunction"? Obviously this has to happen on Good Friday when all is closed. The car is running well, I did not notice any oil leaks.

What is odd is that prior to the malfunction the next oil interval was 16,000 km and now the system reports 4,400 km. Through the iDrive I do see the fuel level at max.

I did have the car raised earlier today to mount my summer wheels. I wonder if something threw off the sensor.

Anyone have a similar malfunction in the past?

It really upsets me that BMW did not equip the car with a dipstick.

I just got a message today, saying my oil level was at the minimum level and to add 1 quart. I just changed the oil 11 days ago, and I have the 6 empty oil jugs to prove to myself I put the right amount in. I checked under the hood, and took off the oil drain plug panel - not a drop anywhere. I've only driven 213 km since the oil change, so I'm sure I haven't burned or otherwise 'lost' that much oil. What gets me is that the system doesn't indicate that there's a problem with the sensor, although I'm convinced that has to be the problem. Anyone else experienced this?

Six quarts would be ~5.7 liters .. if you have e.g. a N52 engine it takes 6.5 liters or just shy of seven quarts.
