Unhappy

Hi Folks, I just wondered if anyone has opinions on getting my 'slightly' buckled 18" 135 sport alloys repaired or replaced.

I managed to ride some speed bumps a bit too quickly (40mph). A few weeks after this I noticed a slight vibration travelling at 50mph, above and below that speed I didn't really feel anything. I hadn't realised that with the wheels made of light alloy and the runflat tires being reinforced that any shock transfers more directly to the rim.

I took it into 2 different dealerships to get the vibration checked out. The first dealer noticed the front offside wheel with a minor dent on the inner part of the rim and quoted about ?750 for new rim and Runflat tire.

The second dealer quoted me about ?700 for both front and back wheel rims plus ?250 for some KBS laser alignment of the wheels and chassis.

Both suggested that repair was not possible. So the question shall I just shell out the cash, get third opinion or try to find someone that might be able to repair the alloy wheel?!?

All opiniions appreciated even those that say I should have slowed down at the speed bump.

I would think re-balancing might solve the vibration problem.
