Default No seatheater or fan - "electricity save"-mode?

Hi,

My car is a 2004 525dT. The past months I have had no seat heater and minimum fan speed (except for window mode, there it blows full speed). The lights above the seat heater button and around the fan button act normally. Sometimes right after startup I get "Charging fault" and a red battery in the mid display, but this goes away quickly. Also, if I only have ignition on for say a minute, a yellow battery shows up. Battery is only a few years old, original BMW. I checked the charing via the secret menu, it was around 15.4 V. I've also charged the battery, but that doesn't change anything.

I remember a mechanic telling me the car has some sort of electricity save mode when there's something wrong with charging or battery.

Anyone else have experienced this? Is there any way to get the car out of this mode without seeing a mechanic? It's minus 12 degrees C outside, so this is a rather cold ride at the moment.

Thanks in advance for any input!

For the record, this is most likely an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) issue. I did some research, and found this is a common fault. I unplugged the IBS wire and things work as normal.
