I don't want to hijack some ones thread but I will say this. I run 18's (and have done 17s) on the 545/550 brakes. You will need calipers/brackets/pads/rotors but the dust shields still fit

I never recommend drilled/slotted(especially for a winter driven car); I've had/seen a few drilled rotors crack. I would recommend the oem rotors which are 2 piece(aluminum hat) and will reduce rotational weight.

Enjoying the heck out of this wagon! I just found a 550 mtech front bumper at a salvage yard the same color of my car. I did some research and looks it bolts up with a few modifications. I also am going to be insatlling a larger front intercooler designed for the 353d e61 that I was told is a direct bolt on. A friend of mine got one and it looks terrific behind his m5 reproduction bumper. I will post some pictures when I install it.

Took care of a few thing today.
My stock coolant hose flange broke, fortunately when I pulled into the driveway. Replaced it with a Bullitt one.
Looked into having my rotors turned and they were under the allowed size. It would have been $20 a side. The new M5 front rotors were $550!
Did pads, rotors, and new ECS stainless lines.

Have not had a chance to install the massive intercooler I got for it. I may wait until I get and fit the M5 front bumper

Looks amazing! Saw your responses to my thread before I realized your wagon is very similar to mine. Love the color and the wheels (and the upgrades–those M5 brakes look great).

I've got plans to replace the "Mickey Mouse" flange before it breaks... evidently a common thing. As well as the water pump, as it sound like you're planning to do. Nice score on the M-sport bumper cover–I'm hoping to find a Monaco blue one myself! IMO a well-sorted E61 is pretty much an ideal car, regardless of budget.

I know I'm chiming in a little late. I purchased my E61 with 130K on the clock. The transmission was also a tiny bit funky. had the shop do a gravity drain and it fixed my issues. Good luck!!!!
