Finally did this today. Funny thing happened, i could have sworn all my injectors were index 7 but I must have missed that one was already index 12 (cyl # 3). All six were replaced (Cyl #6 was leaking) and coded using Foxwell tool. New compression rings and a fresh oil change. No issues on startup, some hesitation but everything stabilized and she idles well!

Not sure wat I will do with the 'older' index 12 that came out. If anyone is interested in that or the other index 7s (ones that are fine) let me know.

A few observations, Bank 1 had the index 12 already and this is interesting because is per BMW at least all injectors should be replaced in the same bank. Once I pulled out the #3 injector I noticed that the bore where the injector sat has some opaque/whitish residue on the inside walls close to the tip. Not sure if this was the result of not replacing all the injectors in that bank by the previous owner. In addition, the DME for that cylinder did not even have the right tolerance numbers shown.
