Default New to e61, planning brake job, parts suggestions?

Hi Everyone I am a new 2006 e61 owner. We also have a 2000 528 e39 wagon which has been wonderful for years, and two e28's which we are emotionally attached to. The e61 is obviously a shock to switch to. It's my first automatic, and it clearly uses more brake as the dust is impressive. It's all OE parts presently as we purchased it from a dealer and it is like a new car. It's due for brakes soon.

I have done my own brakes on every car I've owned. Should I expect any surprises, such as required computer setting changes to tell it to restart the clock on the brake replacement cycle? Should I have my shop do the job to avoid the unforeseen?

This is a family car so high performance is not a goal.
I was planning to use these parts unless otherwise advised.

1. Bosch Quietcast rotors part # 15010111 and 15010118
2. Cool Carbon Pads, for reduced brake dust probably from PelicanParts.
3. New sensor wires

I have had great luck with Bosch Quietcast on my e28's. One had cross-drilled Brembos which eventually developed a vibration. Cool carbon pads seem a good choice for reduced brake dust. The dust output on this e61 automatic is high as we drive mountain roads where we live.

Thank you in advance.

Default e61 Brake Parts choices?

Still interested in any input on this... basic considerations.

Rotors: Bosch Quietcast
Pads: cool carbon or something low dust
Service Interval Reset in the computer: What does one do about this, or does it figure out the pad life left based on the sensor?

Appreciate any insights. In a few months of ownership this e61 has been a great car. One xenon went pink, which I gather is the Philips D2S bulb going out.
