After two weeks of thinking finally I made up my mind and today I ordered my second E61.

I went to the local dealer and I got a good discount (abt. 12%) and thus I went for the following car:

E61 LCI 530i Touring, Spacegray, Msport version (Navigation Professional, Adaptive Light Control, Bi-Xenon, Cruise Control, Advanced Automatic Air Conditioning, Extended Lights Package, Graduated Windscreen, Servotronic Steering, ISOFIX, High Beam Assistant, PDC, Electrochrome + Fold in Outside Mirrors), Automatic Sport Gear, Leather Dakota Black, CD-Changer, Alarm, Roof Rails, Hi-Fi Speaker System, Tinted Rear Windows, Sunblinds for Rear Windows, Cup Holders, Bluetooth Telephone, Universal Remote Control, Emergency Spare Wheel.

Waiting time about 30 days. I am already dreaming about summer holiday with the new car.

Nice! Congrats... The LCI feels much better built, compared to my old E61. Why no panoramic roof? Didn't have it on my old, now I wouldn't be without it.

I think it is a bit too expensive for the time you can use it. During summer is too hot so I use air con in winter is too cold so I use heating. It remains Spring and Fall, however it is too noisy to use one motorway so I would use it in town only and I am using this car very little in town as too difficoult to park it.
That's why I decide to save additional 1.750 EUR.

Hi Marco,

congratulations to the order of the LCI, I think it would be a perfect car !!

I am also very happy about my E 61 525 dA LCI, and I have droven it for a few days for a holiday to the gardasee in May, and my summer holidays I would make in Bibione by the end of July. So I think I am an italian freak, or ?!

By the way this excursion with the new one to the gardasee was absolut perfect, I love to driving the new car with the sport seats ( they are always the best on market, I have only by BMW no problems with the seats !! ) and the new automatic transmission.

Then I wish you a short waiting time on the new ordered dream car and also best regards from Salzburg

Heli G.

Hi Heli

I am really happy to here that you are so satisfy with your new car. I was lucky as it was still one car free scheduled for July production so I had the possibility to change options as I liked.

Glad to hear that you like Italy at leas as I like Austria. Being from Trieste we have long common history.

Best regards
Marco

Hi Marco, excellent spec and congrats to the hefty discount - you lucky guy!

I see that you ordered Hi-Fi system. Personally I would prefer Logic 7 or the Individual DIRAC, but there is of course always a price issue when delaing with BMW's options list...

Thank you, like you said it is a money issue otherwise it would hurt to play with BMW options list. However I had the HI-FI system in my previous BMWs and I was satisfy with it.

Perfect choice - congrats. Although personally I would not spend any money on a CD changer. The car's CD player will play mp3 discs which is equivalent to 5-6 CD's on one disc. You may want to spend the money on an upgrade to the extraordinary 19 inch 172M styling wheels which are more comfortable than the 18 inch with runflats.

The 172s are sadly no factory option for the E61. I would also get rid of the CD changer and then you could aaalmost get the roof , it's the extra light it gives that I like... Or is the CD changer in some kind of package?

+1 My last car didn't have a CD changer only the single slot radio/CD with mp3 function - I didn't miss having the CD changer at all.

Current car has a changer but the mp3 function hasn't been enabled and I really miss not being able to play mp3 CDs.
