My Ride: 2008 535xi / Platinum Grey / Black leather / Step Auto / Sport / Premium / Cold weather / 18" wheels / Logic 7 / Comfort / ipod / Navigation / Fold Down Rear Seats / Rear Airbags / Sirius SAT / Spoiler / Extended Clear bra / Bluetooth. (Previously owned a 2002 sport 525I Loaded).
On order: 535xi Platnium Grey with Black interior, Step Auto, Sports package, Premium package, Cold weather package, 18" wheels, Logic 7, Comfort access, ipod adapt, Navigation, Sat radio, Rear spoiler, Extended Clear coat bra.
What's that about Connected Drive and it showing you empty parking spots. Is that only in Germany or do they have that here in the US?

Just take it easy with the throttle when the car is brand new
In my case it took app. 5000 km before I felt a difference in the smothness of the engine.
It?s quite a difference driving the car at delivery and when you have 5000 km on the wheels.
You have a great time ahead. Enjoy !!!

I noticed the Maxi Cosi as abt. 2 1/2 years ago I went for the SW for the same reason as you do it now. Now I am already at the second E61 and on the second stage of Maxi Cosi child sit as well. I do not regret one single moment the E60 limousine I had before.

Pic is from the iDrive simulator in the BMW Connected Drive portal, but it looks the same in the car.
Red triangle: Parking lot full
Green triange: Parking available
The numbers indicate how many empty parking spots there are. Most probably this feature is only availble here in Germany
