My current E61 is Space Gray and I'm thinking about going for some different and not so common (=boring) color this time!
My choices are narrowed down to Platinum Brone and Neptune Blue (a VERY nice color from what I've seen so far).
I'm also opting for Shadowline (black trim around windows) and 245 style wheels.

So, anyone with a Neptune Blue E61!?

Problem for me was when I tried to order that color for my 520d, it was connected to a special buisness executive package....if you did not purchase the package that color choice was not available....

I'm trying to decide between this color or platinumbronze but I'm lost... (Could someone post a pic of a platinumbronze E61 too??)

My dealer configured a car with Neptune Blue and the system said it was OK so I'm not sure that any special edition is needed...?

 

Strange....I had a similar problem....I made the order everything was ok...then got a call a week later saying my combination was not possible...check it out in depth so you don't get disappointed...

However, my salesrep said that he had sold a car with this color a while ago...with no special edition or package - It was sold to a rental company.
A sad thing is that I cannot go over to the rental company to see the car (color) because it is out on a long term rental.

 

I think the confusion comes from the fact that it's a colour for the 7MD Edition Lifestyle only. (27.000 SEK, ca 2.850 EUR)

 

Yep, I thought so too..
But my salesrep really has delivered a E60 with that color without option 7MD....I know for sure!

 

What about Le Mans Blue?
I saw few in Germany and it looks fantastic on E61.

After checking some pics and a getting a quick glimpse of a Neptune Blue E60 down town I'm not to sure anymore. Okay, it's a nice color but...
I also saw some Audi A6's with almost exactly the same color but I'm sad to say that it didn't give me the WOW I was looking for...

 

I've just come back from trying to deal with a dealer in the UK and they told me I couldn't have neptune blue with an M-Sport package...They only do it on the SE models over here...
